Softball hits way to victory

Newington 25, Rocky Hill 8: The Indians routed Rocky Hill through three innings and cruised to a 25-8 win on Wednesday. Newington held a 16-0 lead after three thanks to Rachel Thureson and Elisa Taylor, who each scored four runs on the day, while Taylor also drove in four. Cyan Gonzalez went 3-for-4 to lead the 12-hit attack.

The win moves the Indians to 2-0 on the season.
