Softball blanks Hartford Public

Dani Pantano and Amaia Jackson combined to throw a perfect game as the Indians disposed of the Owls 16-0 in five innings. Newington used a six-run third and a seven-run fourth to pull away and let Pantano and Jackson work their magic.

Pantano went four flawless innings and Jackson closed the door, while Hannah DeMarco shined at the plate with a home run and a triple.

Maddy Ellis went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Indians, while Rachel Thureson enjoyed a perfect day herself at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored.
