NEWINGTON — The Newington softball team scored two runs in the third and fifth innings and that was all pitcher Kat Lagace needed Thursday afternoon as the Indians defeated RAHM 4-0 to get over the .500 mark.
Lagace struck out nine opposing batters, while Kacey Blais and sister Haley were key at the plate. Kacey went 2 for 3 as Haley drove in the first two runs of the game on a single in the third.
